Colours well chosen

Add to favorites
Eventually, the time comes when, from the countless colours of pavers, we must choose those that appeal to us most. What should we consider to ensure the results of our decisions are stunningly good?

Don’t overdo it
When designing the surroundings of your home, remember not to combine more than three shades of pavers at once. Too many different colours distract the eye and create compositional chaos. It is not worth turning your space into a jumble sale simply because of indecision.

In keeping with the temperature
When choosing colours, let’s be guided by their temperature. Combining warm with warm (yellows, reds and browns) and cool with cool (greys, charcoals and greens) is a safe bet and never causes aesthetic dissonance. The same applies to colour blends – a space arranged in warm shades indiana will be pleasantly brightened by accessories in the colours latte, whilst a cool onyx will look great alongside Sahara shades.

Contrast?
However, if we do decide on contrasting combinations of pavers, let them be well thought out. Let them enliven the space, attract attention and give the combination a distinct character. We can therefore try a combination of white and graphite shades or barwy jesieni enhance it with shades of purple peeking through the mottled lava. If we are unsure of our choice, let’s ask the specialists at Polbruk for help. This is important, as poorly chosen colours can lead to irritability and a sense of unease.

Tradition versus modernity
The choice of colours is most often determined by the character and style of the surroundings. Modern building forms and minimalist spaces look far better when surrounded by cool melanges, e.g. alpen, onyx, sahara, and pure shades of grey. Conversely, spaces with an idyllic character – homely, simple and natural – are perfectly warmed by melanges such as latte or hawaii, finished with bronze accents.
