There was no end to the excitement in the stands. The teams displayed a very high standard of play throughout the tournament, providing fans in the final not only with thrilling sporting moments but also with surprises – one player even wore the shirts of two different teams! Ultimately, victory went to last year’s champions – Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, who defeated AZS Politechnika Warszawska 3–1 in the final.
The award for best receiver – Paweł Halaba of AZS Politechnika Gdańska – was presented during the Memorial by Mariusz Ferenc, President of Polbruk
S.A., who also took part in a friendly match played as part of the event, appearing alongside such stars as Dorota Świeniewicz and Jakub Bednaruk.
The Zdzisław Ambroziak Memorial is a special event in the calendar of non-league volleyball competitions. Organised in memory of the esteemed athlete and sports journalist, the event attracts crowds of fans every year who, just before the start of the season, want to see their favourite athletes live, and this year also on TVP Sport.
