The event attracted many enthusiasts of motoring, drifting and street racing, who had travelled to Olsztyn from towns many kilometres away. They were not disappointed.
The main attraction on the first day of the event was the 1/8-mile (approx. 200 m) night-time car races. The competition featured 100 of the best teams from across Poland, with competitors divided into several different classes depending on the engine power and drive type of the cars they were racing. Zbigniew Brach, driving an 800-horsepower Nissan GTR (time: 6.838s), proved to be the best in the open category.
On the second day of the event, however, the most thrilling part was the drift demonstrations performed by one of Poland’s top teams – the STW Drift Team. To stage the motoring show on the roof of Galeria Warmińska, a drift track was set up, similar to the one featured in the film *The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift*. The competition arena was secured using the company’s own materials – kerbs and edging from Polbruk.
An automotive trade fair was also held throughout the event. The organisers also provided plenty of attractions for children – a special zone for the little ones featured inflatables and a Carrera mini-race track.
We are delighted to have been the main sponsor of Night Power 2016. Thanks to the support of Polbruk, the event was perfectly organised and safe, both for the drivers and the other participants.
