Polbruk SA launched a modern production line at its Bydgoszcz plant in May this year. The grand opening took place on 9 May 2019. The event was attended by over 120 people: representatives of local authorities, including the Deputy Governor of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, the Starost of Bydgoszcz County, and the Mayor of Bydgoszcz, as well as representatives of the CRH Group, and customers and business partners.

The first works related to the construction of the new investment began in early February 2018. Nearly 600 people were involved in the launch of the investment at various stages of the work. The ceremonial ribbon-cutting to mark the official opening of the new production line was performed by Józef Ramlau, Deputy Governor of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, Zbigniew Łuczak, Deputy Starost of Bydgoszcz, Mark Joel of CRH Europe, Grzegorz Lato, Member of the Supervisory Board of Polbruk S.A., and Mariusz Ferenc, Chairman of the Management Board of Polbruk S.A.
“When we celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary in 2016, we set ourselves specific goals for the coming years. We have already managed to achieve many of them. Thanks to this new investment, we will significantly increase production capacity and expand our operations. At present, the company comprises 19 plants, housing 31 production lines.  In total, we employ 650 people. Our portfolio currently includes over 400 products, which, thanks to our extensive distribution network, are available throughout Poland. “We believe that the modern, fully computerised plant in Bydgoszcz, producing next-generation pavers and concrete slabs, will ensure the successful completion of the tasks set before us and will be one of the many signs of economic development not only in Pomerania and Kuyavia, but also across the whole country, ” says Mariusz Ferenc, Chairman of the Management Board of Polbruk S.A.

Since its inception, the company has been constantly developing and setting itself ambitious challenges. In 2018, the company’s sales amounted to 16 million square metres of pavers.  In 2019, the company introduced many new products to its commercial range. The new production line in Bydgoszcz is part of the company’s development and innovation policy, as well as its plan to strengthen its leading position and shape the market.
Polbruk ’s portfolio includes industrial, premium and decorative pavers in a wide variety of shapes, colours and sizes, as well as kerbs, edging, palisades and large-format concrete slabs.Polbruk ’s products have been used to date in numerous projects across Poland.  Examples include the paving at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz railway station, Bydgoszcz-Leśna railway station, Kościuszko Square in Gdynia, the Monument to the Defenders of the Coast at Westerplatte, Piotrkowska Street in Łódź, the pedestrian zone surrounding the Tauron Arena Stadium in Kraków, and many others.
