Polbruk pavers Lumia is one of the most innovative solutions on the building materials market in recent years. As soon as dusk falls, the particles embedded in the concrete begin to emit a blue-green glow, making the product visible, facilitating public transport, and finding application in marking cycle paths and creating safe pavements.
The innovative properties of the product were recognised and appreciated by the Institute of Industrial Design, which has been running the only such comprehensive review of the best-designed products and services in Poland without interruption since 1993. This year, 114 products and services qualified for the final of the 24th edition of the Competition. Products that win in their respective categories may use the Good Design mark as confirmation of high-quality design, potential and brand strength.
In this year’s edition, in addition to the nine standard categories, there were also special awards presented by the Minister for Development (“Design of the Year”), the Minister for Culture (“Design of the Year for Culture”), and the Industrial Development Agency (“Product of the Year 2017”). Polbruk Lumia also received a commendation in the “Design of the Year” category.
Currently, all projects shortlisted for the final can be viewed at the Institute of Industrial Design, at an exhibition dedicated to the best design, which runs until 3 December 2017. Admission is free. We warmly invite you to visit!
