The "Metamorfozy" programme is an initiative aimed at filling a knowledge gap regarding the issue of urban regeneration. The programme’s objectives include educating and supporting all participants in investment processes – investors, designers and contractors – in the exchange of information and solutions. The programme is also aimed at beneficiaries of EU funds – the EU has allocated approximately €31.3 billion for the development of Polish cities under the Regional Operational Programmes (2014–2020). In addition to marshal’s offices, architects and representatives of companies and manufacturers whose activities align with the concept of urban infrastructure regeneration have joined the initiative.
For us, as a leading manufacturer of concrete pavers and road elements, supporting the “Metamorphoses – Revitalisation of Polish Cities” programme is a natural progression. Polbruk’s products are used not only in domestic settings but, above all, in large-scale urban development projects. We hope that our experience and activities will contribute to the development of best practices and revitalisation with a capital “R”.
You can read more about the programme on the organiser’s website, BuilderCorp. Meanwhile, Mariusz Ferenc, CEO of Polbruk, comments on the opportunities and challenges of revitalisation in the October issue of the monthly magazine “Builder”.
