Polbruk As part of its corporate social responsibility, S.A. places great emphasis on health education. The company promotes a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among children and young people. It also participates in the life of local communities and is involved in worthy initiatives. One of these is this year’s Evening of Dreams at Warsaw Zoo, organised by the Children’s Fantasy Foundation.

The Fantazja Children’s Foundation is a public benefit organisation which, since 2003, has been fulfilling the dreams of seriously and chronically ill children. Over the course of its 18 years of operation, it has fulfilled over 7,500 wishes for children from all over Poland. At the end of August, in collaboration with Warsaw Zoo, it organised the 17th ‘Evening of Dreams with Fantazja’ for sick children and those living with disabilities, as well as their families.

“The Evening of Dreams with Fantasy is an important initiative and a special treat for children, which they often look forward to all year round. We are delighted to be able to take part in such important initiatives and, by doing our bit to organise this event, to see smiles of joy and happiness appear on the faces of children who have often suffered from illness. “When a child laughs, the whole world laughs” – these are the words of Janusz Korczak, which remain as relevant as ever and should guide us all. We bear this in mind every day and strive to support important social initiatives,” says Magdalena Pieczulis, Marketing Director at Polbruk SA.

During the Evening of Dreams, guests were treated to a host of attractions and surprises, including performances by artists from the Mimello Theatre and the Lalka Theatre. Entertainers from the Mimello Theatre showcased their skills and taught circus tricks to anyone who fancied a go. Other highlights included a demonstration of fascinating chemical experiments and a tour of the zoo. Throughout the evening, the children could enjoy an inflatable slide and Euro-bungee, as well as try their hand at hula hooping or juggling. Delicious refreshments awaited all participants: doughnuts, ice cream and sweet buns, as well as healthy fruit and juices. A bonfire was also lit, where everyone could roast their own sausages or marshmallows. Every participant received lots of surprises. These included sweets, soft toys, toiletries, books, jigsaw puzzles, notebooks and many other attractive goodies. The Evening of Dreams was great fun and created unforgettable memories for all participants.
