As part of their work placements, students on specialist courses were able to gain an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day work of a designer in the design department of Poland’s largest paving block manufacturer. A comprehensive schedule of tasks and responsibilities was planned for the participants, aimed at preparing them for entry into the job market and their future careers.
In total, six people took part in the internship programme across both universities: two in Warsaw and four in the Tri-City. Each of them took part in site visits, creating designs for individual clients and designing display gardens. One of the tasks was also to produce a conceptual design for paving and to support the department in developing product sheets or preparing presentations for industry events.
It was a very fruitful time, which yielded many interesting solutions and ideas. Friendships were formed that will certainly continue in the future, just like the programme itself. A new edition of the internships will start soon, and we would like to invite you – the students – to take part.
