The participants’ task was to design a conceptual concrete wall element characterised by high-quality design and in keeping with the spirit of ecological trends in modern urban design.
After analysing all the submitted entries, the jury – comprising Dr Grzegorz Pęczek, Dr Radosław Czerniejewski, Dr Jacek Sołtysiak from SSW, and Wojciech Średniawa and Karol Umiński representing Polbruk S.A. – decided to award prizes to three projects.
The first special mention – for the project entitled “Tweens” – went to Justyna Szóstek and Marek Rzepnikowski, who were recognised for their exceptionally coherent and inventive concept, comprising the design of a lawn, an openwork slab and the concrete component of a bench. The jury was particularly impressed by the modern style of the designed elements, their functionality and aesthetics. Second and third place honours were awarded to Małgorzata Dąbkowska and Agnieszka Orlikowska respectively.
