On 14 March 2023, the #Jestem Fachowcem Polbruk 2023 Conference and Trade Fair took place in Katowice. It was a gathering of representatives from wholesalers and the paving industry in Poland, and the second edition of this unique event.
350 people took part in the conference and trade fair. The programme included many interesting lectures and presentations, as well as quizzes and competitions. The conference’s central theme was the idea of creating spaces that are more resident- and environment-friendly, based on building materials of appropriate quality and specifications. In line with the One CRH concept, we also invited companies from the CRH Polska Group to the trade fair: Cement Ożarów, Bosta-Beton and Trzuskawica. Attendees heard about current trends in design and new products from Polbruk. Wojciech Średniawa – Chief Designer at Polbruk S.A. – spoke on this topic. An important issue was the water permeability of paver surfaces. This topic was presented by Marek Pałasz – Director of Technical Innovation at Polbruk S.A. – and Przemysław Durlej – the President’s Representative for the implementation of VAP Bosta-Beton products. We also presented new products to our guests in the form of a show garden and R&D and design stands.
Special guests at the conference in Katowice were Ms Izabela Szarmach and Ms Olga Piórkowska, designers and presenters of the TV programme “Wymarzone Ogrody” (Dream Gardens) on HGTV Polska, who have been involved in interior design and garden design for many years.
The highlight of the event was the prestigious “I Am a Professional” Cup competition Polbruk 2023. Ten paving teams took part in the competition, undertaking the task of constructing a layout according to a given design within 1.5 hours. The competition was accompanied by great excitement.
