Ease of installation

Thanks to modern technology and high-quality specifications, these tiles—only 2 cm thick—are highly versatile. Their unique advantage is so-called “dry installation,” i.e., the ability to lay the tiles without adhesive mortar, directly on the ground, grass, gravel, or sand. We recommend installing porcelain tiles from the TOP line using adjustable or fixed supports. It’s a simple and convenient solution. Support systems help you lay any surface, even on an uneven terrace or at varying heights.

Mounting on brackets (recommended)

Recommended for terraces, porches, and seasonal gardens. 1 SUBSTRATE PREPARATION - Laying the slabs on supports is extremely easy. They can be laid directly on compacted ground. The slabs can be laid on a concrete screed or placed on an existing compacted surface without the need to remove or level it, by adjusting the height of individual supports as needed.  2 TILE INSTALLATION -  When installing a surface with 2-cm-thick porcelain tiles measuring 59.30 x 59.30 cm, it is recommended to use 4 to 5 supports per tile (in the corners). The tiles should be installed with a joint of several millimeters to allow water to drain into the substrate.

Mounting on brackets (recommended)

3 INSTALLATION LAYOUT - Various types of utilities can be freely routed between the ground surface and the floor level. 4 LEVELING - During installation, check that the surface is properly leveled by adjusting the level using supports. After the entire surface has been laid, you can also easily adjust the floor level by simply removing any slab.

Installation on gravel (recommended)

Recommended for garden paths, sidewalks, and courtyards. 1 PREPARATION - Remove a layer of soil to a depth of 10–20 cm, depending on the type of subgrade. The ground should be leveled. Spread a 10-cm layer of gravel with varying particle sizes (16–35 mm) over the prepared subgrade. 2 SURFACE LEVELING -  The subgrade should be compacted while maintaining a 2% surface slope. On the compacted subgrade, apply a second 5–10 cm layer of fine gravel (8–16 mm), also maintaining a 2% slope.

Installation on gravel (recommended)

3 LAYING THE SLABS - The gravel layer should be leveled using a straightedge. When laying subsequent slabs, ensure that uniform spacing is maintained. When laying larger areas, check the alignment every 5 m. 4 FINISHING - The laid surface should be leveled. Use a rubber mallet for this purpose. The gaps between the slabs (at least 4 mm) can be left empty or filled with fine sand or gravel.

Installation on grass

Recommended for installation in gardens, on patios, and in recreational areas. 1 PREPARATION - Lay out the planned slab pattern on the grass. Mark the edges of each slab with a shovel. Excavate the soil beneath the slabs. 2 STABILIZATION LAYER -  Spread a layer of gravel on the bottom of the prepared subbase to ensure an even and stable foundation. It is recommended to use a layer of at least 5 cm of coarse gravel with a grain size of 8–16 mm.

Installation on grass

3 LAYING THE SLABS - The slabs should be laid approximately 0.5 to 1 cm below ground level to ensure a smooth transition between the ground and the slabs. 4 LEVELING - Use a rubber mallet to flatten the edges around the slabs to level the lawn with the slabs.

Laying on sand

Recommended for recreational areas, beaches, and swimming areas

Installation using adhesive mortar

Recommended for patios, porches, and gardens. The subgrade must be properly prepared. It must be stable; all unevenness must be smoothed out, and the subgrade must be cleaned of dust, dirt, lime, grease, and oil-based or emulsion paints. A poorly prepared substrate is the most common cause of tiles coming loose and hairline cracks forming in the glaze. Spread the adhesive—prepared according to the manufacturer’s instructions—with a notched trowel over the prepared surface, preferably in a single direction. The adhesive mortar is not intended to level out unevenness in the surface. Do not use spot bonding. The adhesive must completely fill the space beneath the tile. Press the tiles firmly into place and slide them slightly across the substrate, which will cause them to “suck” onto the surface. Always adhere the panels with their entire installation surface. Do not fill the joints with adhesive.

Maintenance

Porcelain (ceramic) tiles should be cleaned using commercially available products designed for this type of material. Glazed tiles are manufactured in a way that allows them to be used without additional protection; therefore, the use of sealants is not recommended. Do not use strong acid-based detergents to clean glazed tiles.

Maintenance

For regular maintenance of porcelain stoneware tiles, use only products intended for porcelain stoneware surfaces, in accordance with the instructions provided with them. Floors laid with porcelain stoneware tiles can be cleaned with any products available on the Polish market that are intended for this type of surface. However, it is important to remember to remove any adhesive residue, as well as mortar and lime residue, immediately after the tiles are laid—preferably using special cleaners designed for this purpose. To remove these types of residues, use mildly acidic cleaners, which are then rinsed off with clean water. When applying these agents, care must be taken not to apply them to the grout, as this could wash out the joints. Porcelain tile floors must be cleaned regularly to prevent heavy soiling. For large areas (storage rooms, large retail spaces), consider using a floor cleaning machine.
